Belhaven House Hotel

Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire

Belhaven House Hotel in Milford Haven has gained a reputation for providing warm, clean, comfortable guest accommodation and excellent breakfasts in Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire. Our wonderful guesthouse is perfect for solo travellers, couples or families who are looking to explore Pembrokeshire and the many attractions it has to offer.

This former home of the Surgeon to the whaling fleet (1797) is now a comfortable B & B. We have 7 lovely rooms available, a mixture of singles, doubles and a family and twin room.

We have modernised our accommodation where necessary with free Wi-Fi, gas central heating, lots of insulation, uPVC windows at the front against the winter winds but otherwise we have left the character to be enjoyed, so there is no lift. But with the very shallow steps we find most people, even if their limbs are no longer very flexible, can make it to the 1st floor residents lounge, the biggest, best and most relaxing room in the building. There they can watch the river traffic through binoculars, read books from the extensive library, watch FreeSat TV, play draughts, chess, dominoes, Scrabble or just drop off.

We serve scrumptious breakfasts backed by a 2nd National Hygiene Rating 5 (formerly Welsh Food Hygiene Gold Award). There are a variety of options available for breakfast depending on your appetite. Whether you prefer a full English, fresh fruit salad or simply peanut butter on toast we will endeavour to provide a tasty treat for you each morning.

On the Waterway, in front of us, apart from the daily impressive movements of the oil tankers and tugs, we have seen the Tall Ships Race, visiting replicas like the Golden Hind, the Matthew, the Dragon ship when they were filming "the Tales of Nania", the Pascal Flores when they were filming "the Onedin Line", Sir Richard Branson's Blue Riband catamaran, World Dinghy championships, UK National skiing and Offshore powerboat championships. This is one of the few venues where offshore conditions can be experienced in an inshore location, and where spectators can view the whole race.
