Awel Mor is on the seafront to the west of Criccieth Castle at Criccieth. We offer wonderful guest house accommodation in this beautiful part of Gwynedd.
We have a range of tastefully furnished bedrooms available, including double, twin and family rooms. All the guest rooms have en suite facilities, a TV, complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms to the front of our Victorian property have spectacular sea views over Cardigan Bay towards Harlech and the mountains beyond.
Our sea facing guest lounge and front patio offers ideal alternative areas where you can sit and read or relax with friends. Enjoy the sea views and perhaps spot a dolphin or two.
In our comfortable dining room, a hearty breakfast is served each morning. Where possible we use fresh locally sourced produce, a great way to start your day.
We are just a short stroll away from the historic Criccieth Castle that dominates the shoreline of the beautifully unspoilt town of Criccieth. There is a varied selection of excellent restaurants, pubs, shops and charming tearooms all within an easy walk of the Awel Mor.
The Awel Mor is ideally situated for touring the Lleyn Peninsula, the unspoilt coastline of North Wales and Snowdonia National Park. With its spectacular scenery and picturesque villages, it is a superb location for walkers, climbers, cyclists, golfers and the many other outdoor enthusiasts.
Nearby attractions include the famous Portmeirion Village, Snowdon Mountain railway, the Ffestiniog Railway and the recently extended Welsh Highland Railway. For beach enthusiasts, Criccieth offers two award-winning beaches separated by the castle or alternatively Abersoch and Black Rock Sands (to name just a few) are just a short drive away.
