Homeleigh house is in the Quantocks area and can be found down a long, quiet country lane close to Crowcombe,Bicknoller and Stogumber. The area is very peaceful which lends itself to either long country walks or cycling for the energetic.
From the house there are plenty of footpaths to chose from that will lead to local villages, restaurants or public houses. The surrounding area is farmland so you will always get the chance to admire the local wildlife. Deer and woodpeckers are quite common in these woodlands.
For train enthusiasts the West Somerset Railway is close by so it can be used as a base to reminisce about the old Steam or Diesel days The trains run regularly throughout most of the year from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead.
If you would like to tour around the area you can visit either the coast of Minehead and Porlock or futher up Lynton and Lynmouth. The gate of Exmoor is just a couple of miles away.
All rooms are dual aspect and en-suite, both looking over rear fields. The rooms are equipped with large showers, sofa, TV and tea and coffee making facilities. There is also a lounge for guests to use which is ideal for groups of friends that may want to relax in together.
Follow the M5 to Junction 25 the A358, Taunton turnoff, following the signs for Taunton/Minehead .
Continue on the A358 for approximately 8-9 miles passing through Staplegrove, Bishops Lydeard,East Combe and Flaxpool.
Crowcombe is the next village on from Flaxpool approximately 1.5miles.
Carry on passing the sign for Crowcombe (on right) where you will see a turnoff sign for Stogumber.Turn left.
Continue along the lane passing the first left turning (appx 200 yds). carry on uphill until you reach the brow of the hill.As you start to go downhill and enter into the trees take the next left turn signposted for Lower Vexford (appx 800yds).
Carry on down lane passing a small crossroads until you go over a level crossing (West Somerset Railway).
Home Leigh house is at the bottom of the hill on the right.
