The Royal Oak of Luxborough is a 14th Century inn that today provides guest accommodation, delicious cuisine and traditional bar areas. The inn is situated within the charming Somerset village of Luxborough which is in the heart of the Exmoor National Park. Exmoor is a beautiful landscape of moorland. woodland, coast and rivers, ideal for exploring on foot.
The guest bedrooms are all en suite and have been finished to a high standard.
There is a daily changing menu available at the inn where locally sourced produce. The bar is comprised of two main rooms and two seated dining areas.
Main Bar: This quaint atmospheric bar boasts a huge inglenook fireplace, with the flagstone flooring and the Log beams it give the feeling that many a good yarn has been spun in this room.
Back Bar: The back bar is a cosy bar ideal for enjoying a quiet drink, with comfy leather armchairs and sofas, a classic radiogram and an ever growing collection of vinyl, this is the perfect place to enjoy one of our fine ales, or a glass of wine. We also have a pool table and board games are available behind the bar.
The Pine Room: A cosy casual eating area the Ideal room to enjoy a meal or bar snack.
The Map Room: Is ideal for an intimate dining experience.
Outside there is a courtyard area which is the ideal setting to enjoy a cold beverage in the sun.
There is lots of beautiful countryside surrounding the inn which is ideal for a range of outdoor activities. This area also has several points of interest such as Dunster Working Watermill, Quantock Hills, West Somerset Railway and Watermouth Castle.
