Bossington Hall offers luxurious guest house accommodation in Porlock. Our magnificent house is nestled in a stunning countryside setting, boasting a Sea View, 8 eight acres of informal gardens, woodland, lawns, a millpond and shallow stream. We are ideal for a tranquil holiday in Somerset, especially for those walking or cycling the South West Coast Path or Coleridge way.
Our majestic Grade II Listed building has an array of gorgeous bedrooms available, all sumptuously decorated to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible. Three of our rooms are en suite and four have private bathrooms. High-quality facilities in all the rooms include a smart TV, DVD player, DAB clock radio alarm, USB charging station and hospitality tray.
The Heddon Master: This outstanding Text taken from thebandbdirectory.co.uk room offers glorious dual aspect moor and sea views. Includes a vast en suite bathroom with twin basins, a roll-top bath and separate shower.
The Greenaleigh Suite: Our fabulous room includes a private lounge and sleeps 2 adults and 2 children. The room enjoys moor and coastal views and consists of a king-size bed and 2 single sofa beds in the separate lounge.
The Embercombe Room: This wonderful room offers delightful views across the vale and garden and a private bathroom is next door, with roll top bath
The Danesbrook Room: Our magnificent room enjoys amazing moor and sea views. The room can be interlinked with Embercombe for families. A private bathroom is right next door.
The Ivystone Room: This charming room offers lovely woodland and moorland views. A spacious private bathroom has a roll-top bath and shower over.
The Jennifrieds Room: Our elegant room looks over the courtyard and woodland and includes an en suite bathroom with a shower.
The Longpool room is more compact, with a woodland view, but is one of the few en-suite rooms.
Guests also have use of tennis and badminton courts, a children’s play area and a nine-seater cinema room/presentation suite.
Porlock, just a mile away, is a quaint village in the heart of Exmoor, offering characterful cottages, galleries, shops, pubs and tea rooms. You can visit Selworthy Beacon and savour amazing views across the Bristol channel, or head south down the winding lanes and stroll through the beautiful woodland and up onto Webbers Post. The Doverhay Museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the village’s history and the Exmoor Owl and Hawk Centre offers the unique chance to fly an owl to your gloved hand.
