The George Inn is a grade one listed building situated in an idyllic setting with beautiful views in the picturesque village of Norton St Philip. Just fourteen minutes from Bath and set in the scenic rolling green Somerset hills, this 700-year-old inn is a real find as it has come through the centuries remarkably undisturbed with character bedrooms & traditional oak beams, antique furniture, cosy bars and an ancient galleried courtyard.

The Plaine is a 16th Century building which has been lovingly updated; the rooms are contemporary in design with all modern conveniences. Check-in, parking, breakfast and all meals will be at The George immediately across the road.
Our garden overlooks the village church against a backdrop of unspoilt rural scenery. Guests can also enjoy the added benefit of free parking and easy access to Bath and surrounding areas and a wealth of beautiful countryside all on your doorstep!
Dinner is also available at The George Inn with all our poultry and eggs being free-range and all our meats are sourced from award-winning suppliers Walter Rose & Sons of Devizes. Rest assured; you will be served a great quality meal every time you visit with us!
