Coombe House is an old Blue Lias stone house offering guest accommodation tucked away in the oldest and flattest part of Lyme Regis in Dorset. Our B&B is an honest one minute level walk to the sea.
We don't have swirly carpets or net curtains or a resident's lounge but we do have two comfortable and tastefully decorated spacious en suite guest bedrooms; one double and one twin. Both guest rooms overlook our walled courtyard in which there is usually some parking.
A wholefood breakfast is served to you on a trolley in your room. The key to your stay is a relaxed atmosphere, guests are free to come and go as they like and in the unlikely event of rain you are welcome to hole up for the day.
Dorset is a popular holiday destination and offers a range of things to do. Guests can explore The Jurassic Coast which stretches from Orcombe Point near Exmouth in East Devon to Old Harry Rocks near Swanage in East Dorset. Guests can enjoy walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing and golf in the surrounding area.
Of course the guest accommodation is also located just a minute away from the beach where you can spend the day relaxing, exploring rock pool and even learning to surf. The Lyme Regis Museum is a great place to go where you can lean about fossils and take part in quizzes. Animal lovers can visit the Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium where you can come face to face with local fish and marine life of the Jurassic coast.
