Furzeleigh Mill is situated in its own grounds just a short drive from Totnes, at Buckfast in Devon, with a sunny, south-facing aspect. Formerly a corn mill built in the 16th Century, it has been carefully converted to a comfortable country hotel, privately owned and personally run, where you are always assured of a very warm welcome.
All guest rooms have been tastefully decorated and furnished, ensuring a comfortable and restful stay is had by all. A mixture of single, twin, double and family rooms are available, all of which have lovely countryside views. The hotel is a listed building of historical interest and due to its age, there are a number of steps to the rooms and several different levels. All rooms include:
En suite facilities.
Tea/coffee making facilities.
Breakfast is included within the room rate and is served between 8 am and 9.30 am. A packed breakfast can be provided if you need to leave early. We pride ourselves on the quality of our food here at Furzeleigh Mill. Being situated in the heart of Devon we have many tremendous small-scale local producers and we buy locally wherever possible. We have a wide-ranging menu available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Coffee and homemade cakes are available throughout the day and cream teas served in the afternoon. We have great vegetarian and vegan options as well as gluten-free, dairy-free and we will always try to cater for any dietary requirements. In addition to our restaurant, Furzeleigh Mill offers a cosy, well-stocked bar. The bar has over 50 variety of gins and a growing selection of rums. We also have a great wine list and a range of locally produced soft drinks and non-alcoholic beers and fizz.
Furzeleigh Mill is situated close to the ancient stannary towns of Ashburton and Buckfastleigh, midway between the city of Exeter with its magnificent cathedral and the modern city of Plymouth with the Hoe and its historic maritime associations.
