Borthalan House

Carbis Bay, St Ives, Cornwall

Facilities

Description

Borthalan House is in a stunning part of Cornwall. The B&B is just a short walk from the picturesque Cornish town of St Ives, in the sleepy village of Carbis Bay. Perched on a hill, our B&B enjoys wonderful views across St Ives Bay and provides guests with a place to stay that is an escape from the stresses of modern day living.

Our accommodation is set within its own grounds and is a traditional, large Cornish townhouse. We have six guest rooms available, all of which have been tastefully decorated and furnished. Whether you are a solo traveller, couple or friends, we have rooms to accommodate you. Most of the guest rooms have sea views.

Breakfast is included within the room rate and includes either a full English or continental alternative. Please advise when booking if you have any special dietary requirements. In an evening, guests are welcome to relax in our lounge and enjoy a drink from our bar.

The local beaches at St Ives and Hayle are world renowned for their beauty and splendour. Cornwall is famous for its surf and is ranked amongst the best venues anywhere Text taken from thebandbdirectory.co.uk for the quality and size of the surf, all year round. Because of the rugged nature of the coastline and the ferocity of the occasional mid-winter storm, the Cornish coast has claimed many ships over the centuries. Although unfortunate for the poor soles on board, this makes for excellent diving and fishing in the area. So, if you’re looking for a diving break on the Cornish coast or a fishing holiday in Cornwall please give us a call.

Above the crashing surf and golden sandy beaches are the also famous coastal walks. 300 miles of footpaths maintained by the National Trust with some amazing views, not only of the coast but inland as well. If rambling or hiking is something you do or would like to do, then there are plenty of options, from putting on your hiking boots and setting off on your own to guided tours of local beauty spots.
