The Green Dragon is a charming pub offering guest accommodation situated in the lovely Wiltshire village of Market Lavington, just a short drive from Devizes. The pub has retained the character and presence that makes it the heart of this bustling, busy village.
We have 5 rooms in total, one spacious family room, two double/twin rooms, an accessible double with walk in shower room and wheelchair access and a double above the 17th Century pub in what was once the upper floor of the cottage next door. It can be set up as 4 single beds or a double and twins and with addition of sofa bed/put up bed or cot can comfortably accommodate a family of 6. Please note there is only one bathroom for this room. Our rooms are pet friendly and well-behaved dogs are welcome at no extra cost.
The substantial home cooked breakfast featuring locally sourced produce is one of the best a great many of our guests have experienced and is something many comment on. We can provide packed lunches and serve evening meals on your return from a busy day exploring the area.
Although it has all the character and charm of a traditional Wiltshire village and is set in the midst of beautiful countryside, Market Lavington has always been a working community. Today its facilities include a Co-op supermarket, a chemist, butcher, and post office, a hairdresser, florist and a number of small businesses, so you can buy almost anything you need in the village. We also have a thriving village museum (check for opening times) which is perfect for family history or other research.
