Wilderness Bed & Breakfast is set in the heart of the Weald of Kent, with its scattered farms and idyllic villages. Close to the quiet village of Headcorn we are also within a short distance of Tenterden, Cranbook and Sissinghurst.
The Hopper’s Room is a lovely old building with a vaulted oak framed ceiling. We’re not quite sure for what it was originally intended for but think it was used for Hopper’s who came to Kent for working holidays. It has its own en suite shower room and a Super King Size bed and also has an outlook onto The Orchard. Relax in bed and watch the HD TV or take advantage of the complementary Wi-Fi.
The Orchard Room has been well loved by all who have visited. It is light and spacious at 350 sq ft (33 sq m) with high ceilings (a novelty for Kent houses!) and has a lovely outlook through three sets of French Doors onto our Apple and Pear Orchard and the surrounding fields. Not only does it have a Super King Size Bed but ample room to relax in its own seating area with huge and comfortable Edwardian armchairs and HD TV with FreeSat. The large shower room is no less impressive having a walk in double size 1600 x 800mm shower and full height glass brick tiled screen.
The Oak Room is in the oldest part of the house and displays a typical Kentish oak framed house in all it’s glory. The timeworn 16th century wide plank floorboards have been lovingly restored and combined with the wooden vaulted roof frame create a clean and bright space. Although it is within the house guests are self contained and have their own large private bathroom. The age and architecture of the house means we can’t provide our guests with a shower here…but relax and enjoy the lovely bath! The bedroom has a King Size metal framed bed and wall mounted HD TV. Whilst due to the age of the house the bedroom is small there is also an adjoining large Dressing Area which also has the benefit of two armchairs to relax in and watch a second HD TV.
A hearty cooked or continental breakfast is served daily in the light and airy breakfast room which overlooks the gardens.
We are sure you will love your stay and find it a perfect base to explore our county and this corner of England.
