Dornoch Castle Hotel is located in the historic town of Dornoch, Sutherland. We currently have three deluxe four-poster rooms in the oldest part of the castle, perfect for a truly lavish getaway. These special rooms have feature bathrooms with a spa bath, a large LCD TV, seating area and log burning stove. We also superior rooms in the unique 15th & 18th Century sections of the property and also in the modern garden wing. These rooms have all been refurbished with careful thought to their original atmosphere. A range of standard rooms are also available. All of our guest rooms overlook the walled gardens and come with en suite facilities.
You can experience a stunning gastronomic dinner in the Castle Restaurant which overlooks the formal walled gardens. We have a range of wonderful seasonal menus to savour, all of which boast a Mediterranean twist. Dishes include the ever-popular Dornoch gin cured salmon made with the hotelís very own gin and venison loin from Tressady Estate just 20 miles away. In the summer months, you can enjoy a spot of al fresco dining in the walled garden.

Dornoch Castle is ideally situated for golfing enthusiasts and beginners alike with the famous Royal Dornoch Championship Golf Course only a stoneís throw from the castle, it is the third oldest golf course in the world after St Andrews and Leith and is still one of the finest. It runs along the curve of the coast behind the sandhills overlooking the great golden beaches around the bay. One of the top 20 in the world and only a 10 minute walk away. The area is also renowned for its magical castle, from the huge Edinburgh Castle to the mysterious ruins of Urquhart Castle.
