MacDonald House is a short walk from the centre of Inverness and is in one of the most picturesque areas of this beautiful city. Our guest house is situated on the banks of the River Ness opposite Inverness Cathedral and is an ideal base for all whether for business, a visit to the theatre or a tourist visiting the capital city of the Highlands.
All guest rooms at the MacDonal House are comfortably and attractively furnished. They are fully equipped for the convenience of guests with TV, coffee/tea makers and en suite facilities. We offer a choice of double, twin, family and single accommodation and walkers, bikers, cyclists and particularly families being most welcome.
A hearty breakfast is served with the choice of continental or a full Scottish breakfast, including the option of kippers and porridge. Residents are also welcome to enjoy a selection of light bites from 4 pm – 10 pm such as sandwiches, pizzas and omelettes or pre-booking in for an evening meal which is served between 6.30 and 8 pm. We have a selection of wines, spirits and beers available, as well as soft drinks to enjoy with your dinner.
The area surrounding MacDonald House abounds with places of interest for the visitor. Within a short walking distance is Whin Park and various pleasant walks along the River Ness and around Ness Islands.
