Situated in the city centre of Edinburgh, Adam Drysdale House is an end-terraced Victorian Town House built in 1812.
All our bedrooms are gas centrally heated with en suite or private facilities. The guest house is strictly non-smoking and all rooms have flat screen Digital TVs with Freeview, radio alarm clocks, hairdryers and tea and coffee making facilities.
We are a 5 minute walk from the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) and 10 minutes walk from Princes Street and the Castle. We are also ideally situated for theatre lovers with the Kings Theatre, Usher Hall and The Lyceum all within walking distance. There is also a very regular bus service close by. Two of our rooms overlook Edinburgh Quay, the brand new development that has brought the Union Canal back to life.
The local area has an extensive range of excellent restaurants, cafes, bistros, good shops and top brand hairdressers. For those who enjoy walking, we have the Meadows and Bruntsfield Links nearby and on a sunny day there is nothing better than walking along the canal bank to the leafy suburbs.
Our hearty breakfast consists of fruit juice, a wide choice of cereal, including yoghurts, organic porridge oats, freshly brewed tea and coffee with toast, followed by a full traditional Scottish breakfast with pork sausage, grilled bacon, Scottish black pudding and haggis, grilled tomato, potato scone and a choice of fresh eggs, fried, scrambled or poached. We also serve fresh fruit, home-made salmon fishcakes on request and cater for vegetarians.
