A full cooked Scottish breakfast is served around the large oak dining table. Sausages, Bacon, homemade, marmalade, preserves, free range eggs, a choice of fried, poached or scrambled are included. Haggis or even black pudding is an optional extra. If preferred, a continental version is also available. For other meals, a wide variety of eateries within a five mile radius of the house also offer excellent dining. We'll be happy to advise you on the very best places to try.
Stirling, the Trossachs, St Andrews, the Highlands and Scottish Border Country are all within easy reach, making Highfield a very good base for touring Scotland. There are many golf courses nearby, (67 alone in Edinburgh & Lothians) including the Championship course at Dalmahoy (under 10 minutes away). Other activities include skiing, riding, hillwalking, fishing, sailing and canoeing.
