Drem Farmhouse is a large Georgian house offering bed and breakfast in the picturesque conservation village of Drem, located in the heart of East Lothian, surrounded by golf courses, beaches and within easy reach of Edinburgh.
It is the family home of Hugh and Marlene Smith who welcome their guests for bed and breakfast (evening meals available with advance notice). The house is comfortable and beautifully decorated throughout, with a dining room, drawing room and a large sunroom, all overlooking the extensive gardens.
Adjoining the main house is 'The Bothie' providing self-catering accommodation, for up to four people, on a weekly basis.
Room 1: Double with private facilities, can be used as a family room with an extra single bed and cot available.
Room 2: Twin with private facilities.
Room 3: Double with en suite facilities.
Drem is located approximately 20 miles east of Edinburgh, close to both North Berwick and Haddington, with easy access via road or rail.
Drem's location, in the heart of East Lothian, is perfect for exploring the surrounding countryside. With over twenty golf courses in the area, including Muirfield Links, East Lothian is a golfer’s paradise, however, there are many other attractions for non-golfers.
Edinburgh is only 25 minutes by rail (Drem station is a 5 minute walk from the house) and slightly longer by road and has everything you would expect from such a historic capital city. The best times of year to visit are; Hogmanay and during the Edinburgh festival (on for the whole of August). Other attractions include the Castle, Hollyrood Palace, The new Scottish Parliament and the Royal Yacht Britannia at Ocean Terminal.
