Muirfad Bed & Breakfast is nestled in beautifully kept gardens, in a stunning part of Dumfries & Galloway. Our B&B offers a comfortable base for those who are looking to visit the area, whether on business or pleasure. We are just located at Palnure near Newton Stewart, the M6 and Wigtown. The first “Dark skies park in the UK “ is situated on our doorstep in the Galloway Forest which is one of the finest spots in Europe to do some star gazing. You can spend a couple of hours experiencing the stunning sight of thousands of twinkling stars. Many wonderful night time views can also be enjoyed from the B&B.

Our aim is to provide guests with a place that feels like a home from home. Allowing you to relax from the moment you arrive. Our guest rooms include a television with Freesat, beverage tray and a hair dryer. The double room with private facilities also includes complimentary bath robes to use during your stay.
Breakfast is included within the room rate and is served from 7.30 am – 9.00 am. We cater for dietary requirements, but we ask that you do let us know when booking to ensure you are accommodated accordingly. Breakfast includes our own home-cured bacon, our own recipe sausages along with homemade bread and marmalade. Packed lunches and earlier breakfast times can be provided by prior arrangement.
Our bed and breakfast is within an acre of gardens and has a beautiful backdrop of the Corbet Cairnsmore of Fleet and beyond to the Mighty Merrick. For those who enjoy spending time in the great outdoors, we truly are the perfect base. The area is well-known for:
