Newark Farmhouse B&B offers quality accommodation on a working farm at Sanquhar in the beautiful Southern Uplands in Dumfries & Galloway.
Bed & breakfast in characteristic spacious centrally heated en suite rooms are available. We have 2 bedrooms and both could be available as family rooms for 4 people. The rooms are furnished to a very high standard with TV and tea making facilities.
A downstairs bedroom with en-suite suitable for wheelchair users is available.
Evening meal available on request - soup, sandwiches and a pudding.
Whether you want to go fishing, walking, swimming, mountain biking or simply enjoy the view Newark Farm is the ideal location. This beautiful part of Scotland is a great walking country with the Southern Upland Way, Scotland's coast to coast footpath of 212 miles from Portpatrick - Cockburnpath passing nearby. There are many other less ambitious walks in the area and we have leaflets available. Wanlockhead is situated on the Southern Upland way and houses the famous Lead Museum, gold panning, and the highest shop in Scotland.
