Invicta House B&B is a family friendly bed and breakfast in Golspie and ideally located for touring the far north of Scotland. No matter the time of year you will find plenty of things to do and enjoy during your stay to this beautiful part of Sutherland. We are situated just 300 yards off the A9 road, a perfect location for walkers, cyclists and motorists alike who may be tackling the North Coast 500 or Land's End to John O'Groats challenges.
Our guest rooms are comfortably furnished and have been tastefully decorated to ensure a comfortable stay is had by all. All of our guest rooms include:
Free Wi-Fi internet access.
Beverage tray with tea, coffee and biscuits.
We have three rooms available, all of which are named after single malt whiskies and can be tailored to suit your requirements:
Ardbeg is a ground floor room with en suite bathroom. It is normally set up as a twin room, but can be a double on request.
Balmenach is a ground floor room with en suite bathroom. This is normally set up as a double room but can be a twin room on request.
Clynelish is a first floor, generously proportioned single bedroom. This has shared use of the family bathroom close by and has sufficent space to sleep an additional guest on a Z bed if required. Use of the Z bed is £10 per night.
Breakfast is served in the dining room from 7.30am – 9am each morning. We are happy to cater to any special dietary requirements; we just ask that you let us know when booking. Should you require an early breakfast, please let us know and we are happy to accommodate you. Packed lunches can also be provided on request at £5 per person.
Golspie is an ideal base for touring the far north of Scotland, ideal for bird watching, walking, cycling, mountain biking, fishing and golf – all the outdoor activities for which the Highlands is world famous. We have teamed up with Golspie Golf Club in a local initiative to promote golf on this magnificent yet underused links course which is almost on our front doorstep; we are now able to offer a substantial discount voucher to all our guests who would like to play there. In the summer months, there is plenty of sightseeing to do as well – the ancestral home of the Dukes of Sutherland, Dunrobin Castle, is in the village just 5 minutes in the car from Invicta House or one stop on the train which runs from our back garden – Golspie railway station is literally 30 seconds from our back garden gates! If Single Malt whisky appeals, there are a number of superb distilleries within easy reach, each brand with their own distinct character and unique palate.
