The Blacksmiths Arms offers charming accommodation, delicious food and an excellent bar in the picturesque village of Talkin. We are in the ideal location for discovering all that Cumbria has to offer, with Carlisle only 25 minutes away and the quaint market town of Brampton just 3 miles away.
We have a range of beautifully furnished bedrooms available, all perfect for a restful night’s sleep after a day sightseeing. The bathrooms come with either a bath or shower.

You can tuck into some light meals and bar snacks in the pub, whilst The Old Forge Restaurant serves a full a-la-carte menu using fantastic local produce. Talkin Tarn (Lake) is only half a mile away and the surrounding area is particularly beautiful. There is an excellent golf course (Brampton) close by and we are well situated for all country pursuits, including walking, golfing, fishing and pony trekking. The Borders, Hadrian's Wall the Lake District and many other famous historical and scenic places are all within easy reach.
