The Archway is a comfortable Victorian guesthouse, tastefully furnished throughout. A warm welcome, good food and the comfort of guests are our priority.
We have a comfortable sitting area in the dining room stocked with maps, local information, daily and local papers and a few games, jigsaws and DVD’s.
Our front rooms have distant mountain views of Coniston Text taken from thebandbdirectory.co.uk Old Man, Wetherlam, Crinkle Crags, Scafell Pike, Great Gable and the Langdale Pikes.
The guest house is well established and has built up a good reputation. Having purchased it early in 2005 we are striving to improve on this solid base. A warm welcome, good food and the comfort of guests are our priority.
We have four rooms ( both double and twin) all with the following facilities :
