Westfield Farmhouse offers bed and breakfast accommodation and is set on the outskirts of the village of Seahouses with two en suite double rooms and fantastic Aga cooked traditional English breakfast. Our bed and breakfast is in an ideal location for those who want to visit Northumberland and the North Northumberland Heritage Coast.
There are 2 B&B rooms in our farmhouse, both are fully carpeted, have king double beds and have en suite fully tiled bathrooms which have a full size cast iron bath with shower over, no bendy plastic jobs here! One of our rooms can be made up as a double or a twin depending on your requirements. Guests are provided with real size bath sheets, a hand towel and complimentary toiletries that includes eco-friendly soap, shower gel and shampoo. Each room has a hairdryer and robes and slippers can also be provided.
Our guest trays offer hot beverage facilities using a modern Tassimo pod machine not only for brand named coffees, but also a selection of teas and hot chocolate. A yummy local sweet treat and if requested fresh milk. (Gluten free treats and non-dairy products can be provided if requested on booking). For your entertainment we provide a modern slimline, flat screen TV, DVD player, range of DVD's and a clock radio with iPod dock. Wireless Internet access is also available.
A tasty and hearty breakfast is produced on our AGA each morning and is freshly made using locally sourced produce. Our bacon, sausage, and black pudding are usually from Bamburgh. Our bread is also sourced locally and the eggs are from Westfield free range hens or other local hobby hen keepers. Occasionally though we need to use commercial eggs if our girls are taking a break, but rest assured these too will be free range.
Seahouses is well served with shops, pubs, restaurants, takeaways, bank, butchers, bakers etc. Although a working village, Seahouses also provides many facilities for tourists, from boat trips to the Farne Islands from its busy and colourful harbour to see Puffins (June & July), Grey Seals and a multitude of other bird and wildlife, to miles of sandy beaches popular with walkers and water sports enthusiasts. Close by are a number of castles and houses of interest, depicting the heritage for which the area is particularly well known and a visit across the tidal causeway to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne is something not to be missed.
