We take breakfast very seriously here at Chillingham. All food where possible is seasonal, locally sourced and freshly prepared. We serve breakfast at a time of your choosing in our sociable dining room. In winter and even on chillier summer days the fire will be lit. Our menu is full and varied. From a hearty Northumbrian breakfast, freshly made Aga pancakes with bacon and maple syrup to buttery mushrooms on sourdough toast or a simple boiled egg with soldiers. We have something for everyone.

From November to March we serve evening meals. Please give 24-hour prior notice and advise of any dietary requirements.

If you prefer to stay in you are welcome to relax and unwind in a big squishy sofa with a good book in one of our reception rooms while staying toasty in front of the log burning stoves. There are plenty of books and maps for guests to borrow.

If a group takes all 3 rooms, they will have exclusive use of the “New” (Built-in 1828) part of the house, and we will be able to provide evening meals – please enquire for details.
