High Force Hotel is situated close to one of England's largest waterfall just outside of Forest-in-Teesdale and just a short drive from the historic County Durham market town of Barnard Castle. Our charming hotel is perfectly situated for those wishing to explore this beautiful part of the North East of England.

However, it is an ideal location for a longer holiday as it is conveniently central to many other extremely important tourist regions and attractions that lie within an hour’s drive. There is Weardale and Hadrian’s Wall to the North, the Lake District to the west, the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the south and the delights of Durham City and the Durham and Yorkshire Coast to the east.
