It has a small shower bathroom.
All our guest bedrooms have the following:
Tea and coffee making facilities.
Ironing facilities are available on request.
Guests can also stay for Bed and Breakfast in our 1800's shepherds hut from 1st May - 30th September. Its own former life was spent in Dorset where it was used for more than 100 years by shepherds tending their sheep. Now fully restored, the hut offers a truly wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the 21st Century life. It has a standard double bed, complete with feather duvet and pillows, an antique settle, complete with lighting, heating and even an electric blanket. Situated in an orchard below the main garden, it has fabulous westerly views and chickens, horses, birds, sheep and cattle as neighbours. A private shower/toilet is available just inside the farmhouse. It also has its own BBQ and firepit.
On your arrival, enjoy a pot of tea and a slice of homemade cake. Then just relax, sit in the garden, look at the beautiful views, go for a walk around the farm or along the Oxford Canal towpath, hear the birds and see the changing seasons.
A traditional English breakfast is served in the dining room which overlooks the garden. We offer a choice of cereals, fruit juice, seasonal fresh fruit, followed by a full English breakfast with our own free range eggs, sausages and bacon from the local butcher, followed by toast and homemade marmalade.
Hill Farm is a traditional mixed family farm, based around the medieval village of Priors Hardwick, on the Warwickshire border. It is 450 acres with varying soil types, arable land, medieval ridge and furrow pasture and banks, with the Oxford Canal cutting it in half. Because of this mixed farming is the only option, growing crops were suited and grazing sheep and cattle, combining conservation where that is the only option. The farm has been in the family since 1938 and is now farmed on a day to day basis by Hugh Darbishire, son of Simon and Angela.
There are many places to visit in the local area including Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold as well as the National Herb Centre, Stratford-Upon-Avon and the Gaydon Heritage Museum.
