For walkers, Shipton is well placed to explore the long distance walks of the Oxfordshire Way and the Cotswold Way, as well as a wide variety of shorter walks along the Evenlode and Windrush valleys. Many local bookshops have guides to the walks in the area. Cyclists are also well provided for with clearly marked cycle routes exploring the Cotswolds.
