Laurel House is an elegant, Victorian detached house and a family home. We are conveniently situated on Hewlett Road in Cheltenham and are suitable for both business and leisure guests. The Promenade in the centre of Cheltenham is about a 15 minute walk from us and we have off street parking available so there is no need to drive if you don’t want to. A taxi journey to Montpellier takes about four minutes. Laurel House is well served by local pubs. The Hewlett Arms and The Langton are close by; both provide outside eating and drinking areas, as do the award winning Sandford Ale House.
The house was built for the original owner of The Queen’s Hotel; it has magnificent proportions and has been sympathetically and creatively restored throughout.
The double bedroom is available to couples at weekends and midweek – but is also available, at a special rate and on a medium term contract – to a businessman/woman who is working away from home Monday to Thursday nights inclusive. The double bedroom comprises a very comfortable double bed with sumptuous pillows. The room includes two comfortable armchairs, a television, chest of drawers and a wardrobe. Wi-Fi is available.
Guests staying in the apartment have exclusive use of the private kitchen and the TV room, where we serve breakfast. The garden is available for early evening drinks - or for breakfast, on request.
Cheltenham and its surrounding area offers a very varied array of things to do and see. Laurel House is well situated for exploring the town and for visiting events at the Jazz, Science, Music and Literature Festivals; it is also convenient for getting out of Cheltenham – to visit the delights of Burford, Bibury, Stow, Bourton and Broadway – together with all the beautiful, historic Cotswold villages for which the area is justly renowned. It is one hour by car to Bath, Bristol, Stratford and Oxford, respectively. Gloucester Cathedral, Tewkesbury Abbey and the Forest of Dean are other popular tourist attractions in the area.

A home from home! The owners were very welcoming , the breakfast was gorgeous and the apartment a real surprise: double, comfy bed and an amazing shower in the bathroom. A fridge in the kitchen to keep the bubbly cold was a real bonus!
