Bassettwood is a family friendly bed and breakfast set in a stunning part of the Peak District National Park. It is a wonderful base for those who are looking for a relaxing break away and is a great place to stay when exploring Derbyshire. The B&B is in Tissington, a pretty village just a short drive from Ashbourne.
We have two delightful guest rooms, both of which are double rooms with en suite shower facilities.
Breakfast is included within the room rate and is freshly prepared each morning. Where possible we use local ingredients and are happy to cater to any special dietary requirements – please just advise when booking.
Our tearoom is open throughout the year every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and Bank holiday Mondays from 12 pm - 5 pm, serving our delicious cream teas with warm freshly baked scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam, sandwiches, cakes, hot and cold drinks. The Tearoom is also open on Thursdays 12 pm - 5 pm during the summer months.
Tissington is famed for its Hall, the home of the Fitzherbert family and is the regular backdrop for many period dramas and films and the village hosts their spectacular Tissington well dressings annually in May. The area is full of places of interest as well as a stunning and diverse landscape, creating a perfect setting for your next break away.
