Cambridge is one of the most attractive cities in Britain and its compact nature lends itself well to viewing by foot. The Acorn Guest House is located in a peaceful cul de sac north of the city centre, a scenic 10 to 15 minute stroll from the main tourist hotspots.
There is no shortage of things to do during your stay in Cambridge. Visit one of the many museums or galleries, take a guided walk and admire the classic architecture of the University's 31 colleges or view the beautifully maintained college gardens from the luxury of a chauffeured punt along the river Cam; particularly attractive during the bloom of Spring daffodils.
After dark, take a meal at one of the city's many and varied restaurants, ranging from simple brasseries right up to Michelin-starred dining. Enjoy a contemporary or art house movie, or treat yourself to a show at the small and intimate Cambridge Arts Theatre. During the summer months there are many extra events to be enjoyed, including a real treat for lovers of Shakespeare with open air performances in a number of the college gardens and live open air pop festivals on the city's spacious greens.
