Barmouth is situated on the fringes of Snowdonia National Park, where the mountains drop dramatically into a beautiful estuary, making it one of the most scenic spots in the UK, truly known as the place where ‘the mountains meet the sea’. Its beach is long and sandy, perfect for lots of water activities – but big enough to wander off enjoying more peaceful surroundings. Nearby you can find many activities such as mountain biking at Coed y Brenin forest, where there are also other walking trails – or maybe try your hand on the ‘Go Ape’ tree circuit also found at Coed y Brenin. For many of our visitors, just enjoying the tranquility of one of the many magnificent walking trails is enough to renew the spirits!
