Barmouth is situated on the west coast of North Wales and at the south west corner of Snowdonia National Park, it has been said that it is one of the most beautiful parks in Britain. Barmouth itself lies between a mountain range and the beautiful sea on the mouth of the river Mawddach. On the road between Barmouth and Dolgellau there can be amazing views of the estuary, it’s worth a stop on the lay-bys just to take a look at the breath taking views. Whilst visiting Barmouth be sure to see the old town with its steep steps and slate-roofed cottages on the side of a mountain. Enjoy its beautiful harbours, old and new. Why not also take a walk across the spectacular ‘Barmouth bridge’ which goes across the beautiful estuary and leads onto the Mawddach trail, which is very popular with the locals as well as the sporting bike lovers and walkers.
