Grebe Cottage offers fantastic bed and breakfast accommodation in the centre of the picturesque Dorset village of Briantspuddle.
Our B&B is a 400 year old Grade II listed cottage in the heart of the Dorset countryside, perfect for a relaxing getaway, or as a base to explore this beautiful part of the country.
We have two double rooms with king size beds and we also offer a single room. The principal double bedroom is reached via a spiral staircase and has its own entrance and shower room/toilet on the ground floor. The second double bedroom and single room provide flexible accommodation with an adjoining door and its own bathroom. Breakfast is served in the conservatory. Where possible we provide our own homemade bread, marmalade and local produce. Our eggs are free range. As well as a range of cereals, we offer yoghurt, fruit salad (either dried, stewed or summer fruits, according to the season) a range of teas and a large pot of coffee!
The local area offers a range of exciting and interesting attractions, including the Bovington Tank Museum for lovers of military history and Monkey World for any animal lovers. Close by you can visit the isolated cottage of Clouds Hill, former residence of T.E. Lawrence, otherwise known as ‘Lawrence of Arabia’. Another historical location is Hardy’s Cottage, birthplace of infamous writer Thomas Hardy. The stunning World Heritage Site of the Jurassic Coast is only a short drive away, and closer to the property a short walk will take you onto Briantspuddle Heath and into Moreton Forest.
