The George Albert Hotel is situated in the stunning Dorset countryside at Evershot, near Dorchester. We are a family owned hotel with all the modern facilities you would expect.
All of our rooms are en suite, air conditioned and finished to a high standard. Each room comes with tea and coffee making facilities, wall mounted hairdryers, direct dial telephone and complementary internet access – all the right techy stuff for the modern travelling businessman, a hot drink for mum and dad, and most importantly not forgetting the 26 inch freeview flat screen television for the kids.
We are able to offer double, twin, single, family, and disabled rooms. The three family rooms have bed settees and a further three are of a delux standard. The bathrooms consist of either bath/shower or shower (please let us know at the time of booking if you have a preference and we will do our utmost to oblige). With fresh clean towels and complimentary products, replenished on a regular basis by our dedicated house-keeping team, we think you might not want to go home.
For an experience in fine dining, there is the Kings Restaurant. Where our attentive waiters and head chef promise you a great meal from a modern British menu. Our chefs use as many local ingredients and suppliers as possible, passionate about providing seasonality, freshness and variety to make your dining experience one to remember.
Our lounge is a great place for our guests to sit in comfort, read a paper, plan your day or just enjoy the cosy atmosphere.
With its own licensed bar you can enjoy hot and cold drinks, as well as alcoholic beverages and snacks throughout the day and evening. Plus with wi-fi in the public areas, the business traveller can always keep up to date with his emails. We also have bars in the function rooms, stocked with popular ales, wines, and spirits for all occasions.
Within a short drive you can visit picturesque country villages with their traditonal pubs, Dorset’s celebrated Jurassic Coast – great for fossill hunting with the kids, wonderful sandy beaches and many towns, both large and small. Dorchester, Dorset’s county town, is a short drive from the hotel and has much to offer the visitor, from world famous historic sites and museums to attractive gardens, interesting shops and welcoming pubs – a great place to spend the day.
