Drakes Farm House B&B is situated in the village of Ide, just two miles from the M5 and centre of Exeter. No longer being a working farm, the House is a Grade II listed building some 500 years old, with oak beams and inglenook fireplace and moulded ceiling. It's a great base for exploring Devon's many attractions.
All rooms have TV, tea/coffee facilities and there is a laundry room available to guests. The house is fully centrally heated and carpeted throughout, with separate guests lounge.
The village has two public houses and two restaurants, all serving good food and within 5 minutes easy walking. The village is within approximately 20 minutes easy reach of Beach, Moors and National Trust properties. There is also a bus service.
Exeter's fine medieval cathedral still dominates the centre of the city. Topsham Museum is housed in one of a group of late 17th Century Buildings overlooking the Exe Estuary. Canonteign Falls, reputed to be the highest waterfall in England, Cannonteign Falls cascade down massive rock formations through wonderful path strewn ancient woodlands where you might glimpse a deer amongst other abundant wildlife.
