Meadpool House B&B near Lynton in North Devon is situated in a tranquil riverside location in the Exmoor village of Brendon.
This Edwardian family home provides superior bed and breakfast accommodation and is an ideal base for exploring North Devon and the Exmoor National Park. Close by are the Doone Valley with its sweeping moorland and ancient woodland, the pretty towns of Lynton & Lynmouth, connected by an historic cliff railway, and the dramatic North Devon coast.
With a vast network of riverside, moorland and coastal paths on our doorstep we offer the perfect location to walkers, cyclists and horseriders.

Bed and Breakfast accommodation
There are three comfortable, well-equipped bedrooms. All the rooms have tea and coffee-making facilities, flat-screen satellite TV, WiFi, comfortable chairs or settee, hairdryer and full length mirror and enjoy beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. The bathrooms all have luxurious soft towels and complimentary toiletries.
There are two standard rooms, one en-suite and the other with adjacent private bathroom. Both bathrooms have bath and shower facilities. Robes are provided in the private bathroom.
The luxury double/twin room is triple aspect with lovely views in all three directions. The room is very spacious and features settee and coffee table and a large en-suite shower room.
Breakfast is served in the dining room, a bright room with garden outlook, tastefully decorated and furnished with antiques. We provide a hearty home-cooked breakfast, aiming to source local products whenever possible. Our own hens supply delicious free-range eggs, preserves are homemade and we use seasonal produce from our kitchen garden. We can easily cater for those following a vegetarian, dairy or gluten-free diet.
We do not offer evening meals but the Staghunters Inn is a five minute walk and is well known for its live folk evenings. Good food and ale can be had here at lunchtime or evenings. A mile further along the lane is the Rockford Inn, also serving excellent food and ales.
Our lovely gardens border the East Lyn river, famed for its salmon and trout. Guests are welcome to bring their own tackle to fish this stretch of river.
