Tregenna Guest House

Falmouth, Cornwall

Facilities

Description

Tregenna Bed and Breakfast is a small, family run Guest House situated in a very central location in the lovely harbour town of Falmouth. Tregenna is midway between the bustling town centre, the lovely Blue Flag local beaches and the historic Falmouth Harbour and Docks, all of which are just a pleasant five minute walk away. We have free Wi-Fi for our guests and off road parking is also available.

Our guest house is a lovely, traditional old house with a total of eight rooms. We have two ground floor rooms, four on the first floor and two more on the second floor. All of our rooms are double or twin rooms apart from Room Five, which is a spacious and airy family room with both double and single beds, together with space for a Z Bed or Carry Cot. Several of our rooms can be configured as either double or twin rooms. In addition to the bedrooms, we also have a large, sunny conservatory where breakfast is served, together with an adjoining sun room.

The property is set high up with unimpeded views over the historic town and then on to Falmouth Harbour and Falmouth Docks. The bedrooms to the rear of Tregenna, together with the conservatory and sun room, have extensive views out over the harbour. Room Six, set high up in the eaves on the top floor, has absolutely stunning panoramic views over the harbour and then on to the Carrick Roads beyond.

All of our rooms are centrally heated and very well equipped. Each one has a flat screen TV, a hairdryer, a radio-alarm clock and tea and coffee making facilities. Tregenna House is non-smoking throughout.

A hearty, Full English Breakfast is served in our lovely, sunny and spacious Breakfast Room. This is a purpose designed and built conservatory added just a couple of years ago and providing truly spectacular views out over Falmouth Harbour and on to the Carrick Roads. The conservatory also serves as a sun lounge where you can relax after breakfast and make plans for another great day out in Cornwall. In addition, we also have a decked, covered seating area outside, again with spectacular views.

Whether you are interested in sailing, surfing, horticulture, scenery or just lapping up the sun in one of the many secluded coves, you will find it all within easy reach of the Tregenna Guest House. Why not stay with us for the Falmouth Regatta week or Falmouth Classics and visit the National Maritime Museum. Alternatively, we make a good base for visiting Cornwall's many beautiful and historic gardens such as Heligan, Glendurgan, Trebah and the Eden Project.

Newquay with its famous Fistral surfing beach is an easy 35 minutes drive away and hosts many surfing competitions and events throughout the summer and winter months. Other surfing beaches include Porthtowan (9 miles away), Sennen (Lands End) and Hawks Point (Hayle). Pendennis Castle built by Henry VIII is within strolling distance of the Tregenna Guest House and we are right on the spectacular South West Coast Path.
