Many eminent figures have associations with the town, including Lewis Carroll and Yvonne Arnaud. When you tire of tourist activities, the cobbled High Street provides a wealth of designer shops and cafes!
'Patcham' is within a mile of the University and Research Park, and the Royal Surrey County Hospital is five minutes drive. Further afield, the RHS Gardens at Wisley are worth a visit, and for walkers there are the Surrey Hills. This part of Surrey has plenty of historic houses such as Hatchlands and Polesden Lacey.
