Acer Glen B&B is situated in the heart of Inverness, capital of the Highlands and at the mouth of the Great Glen.

A few minutes walk from Inverness city centre (bus and train station) and a short drive from the spectacular countryside that is the Scottish Highlands.

This modern bed and breakfast (with one ground floor room) is within easy walking distance to Inverness restaurants, bars and shops and is well-situated for guests arriving by car, rail or bus.

The bed and breakfast accommodation is a 19 minutes drive from Inverness Airport. With it's on-street parking, Acer Glen Bed and Breakfast is great lodgings in a great Inverness city centre location.

All guest rooms have: free wi-fi, flat screen TVs with sky, tea/coffee facilities; and a DAB radio. Hairdryers are provided. The ground floor room is fully en-suite. There is an additional double room and a twin room (with shared facilities).

The B&B was re-wired in 2011, each room has at least 6 x 13-amp sockets and a shaver point, so TV, mobile phone, laptops etc can safely function/charge simultaneously.

The dining area has leather seats if you want to spend a little time out of your room, or on a winter night you can enjoy the open fire. On the 1st floor there is an additional double room(with shared facilities) and a twin room with private facilities.

Renowned around the world for its history, culture and abundant natural landscape, the Highlands of Scotland is a world class destination and is a great place to visit year round.

The City of Inverness is the focal point for the Highlands and is located at the mouth of the Great Glen. You can enjoy spectacular panoramas of crystal clear lochs, lush green forests, rugged mountains and enchanted moorlands.

If you are looking for something more active, the Highlands are an outdoor playground for the adventure hungry. With white water rafting to mountain biking, surfing to abseiling, the Highlands can cater to anyone.

Acer Glen ideally located for all this and more. With its very central location in the Heart of the Highland capital, close to the River Ness, the Castle, Cathedral and Eden Court Theatre. You can spend your day enjoying a wide range of independent shops, café, restaurants and bars, or the many national equivalents.

If you want to enjoy local attractions and the fantastic scenery you can visit Urquhart Castle, Culloden Battlefield, Fort George, The Black Isle and more. You could try your hand at Nessie spotting on Loch Ness and the Great Glen, or the more successful dolphin watching in the Moray Firth.

There are many Munros (hills over 3,000 feet tall) within easy reach and the Gairngorm National Park is just a 30-minute drive, with Aviemore and skiing a touch further. Even Ben Nevis can be conquered in a day and you can be back in the Acer Glen B&B by late afternoon.

Inverness is an excellent jumping off point to explore: the west coast; the Isle of Skye; the northern tip of the UK, including John o’Groats; Orkney and the Shetlands. And what trip to Northern Scotland would be complete without a whiskey tour.
