Bell House Bed & Breakfast is a traditional stone built house five minutes walking distance from Dunfermline town centre in the historical Scottish county of Fife. It is listed as a three star bed and breakfast by the Scottish Tourist Board and offers three well presented and comfortable bedrooms.
We have two twin rooms and a double room all with en suite or private shower room for you to choose from. Rates given below are per person per night and cover all times of the year. We do not charge a supplement for a single person.
The Green Room: Twin room with private shower room, colour TV, radio, hairdryer, complimentary tray, central heating, heated towel rail with towels changed daily. Can be upgraded to family room catering for three people.
The Blue Room: Double room en suite, colour TV, radio, hairdryer, complimentary tray, central heating, heated towel rail with towels changed daily.
The Red Room: Twin room en suite, colour TV, radio, hairdryer, complimentary tray, central heating, heated towel rail with towels changed daily.
Bell House is perfect for families or couples of all ages. A fold out double bed and cot can be arranged for a larger family with children. Each room has a mini guide to Dunfermline and the surrounding area, detailing the many attractions and what they entail. Jane is happy to share her knowledge of the area with guests to ensure they make the most of their time in Dunfermline. There is so much to see and do that planning is essential! The property dates back to 1897 and boasts many period features including Victorian cornicing throughout much of the lower level. Our rooms are tastefully decorated and include immaculate en suite or private facilities. There is free on street parking directly outside the property.
A delicious full Scottish or Continental breakfast awaits you when you arise which is served in the breakfast room. Jane is a qualified chef and is delighted to cater for any dietary request and will purchase special ingredients if given notice. The full Scottish Breakfast includes egg, bacon, tomato, mushrooms, fried bread, beans, black pudding, fruit pudding, lorne sausages and traditional Scottish sausages plus choice of tea or coffee and fruit juice. The Continental breakfast offers a choice of cereals, fresh fruits, yoghurt, selection of meats & cheeses, toast with preserves plus choice of tea or coffee and fruit juice.

We are just a few minutesí walk to Pittencrief Park with its splendid formal gardens and hot houses as well as the impressive Dunfermline Abbey. The town of Dunfermline was once Scotlandís capital and boasts a rich royal history including the royal palace, a 12th century abbey (the final resting place of Robert the Bruce and a restored 15th century abbey. Beyond the town the county of Fife offers colourful fishing villages, stunning coastline, peaceful countryside and hidden delights.
