Alice and Johnny Chute live at Inveresk House as their family home, and provide bed and breakfast and a warm welcome to visitors.
Dine in the richly appointed dining room. Breakfast is served in the grand bow-ended dining room which is painted red and boasts ornate plasterwork ceiling and superb carved fireplace.
Coffee and tea making facilities are available in guest rooms. A full breakfast is provided at the start of each day.
Inveresk House is not licensed to sell alcohol, however you may bring in your own wine and other alcoholic beverages and we will happily provide the glasses.
Musselburgh has a good choice of pubs and restaurants including Italian, Chinese, Thai, Fish and Chips and many others. Bonar's and Waterside Bistro are only 10 minutes away by car in Haddington. Leith has a wonderful selection of restaurants less than 15 minutes away. The resident proprietors will be happy to provide advice on where best to eat.
At breakfast guests can choose their preferred breakfast from a selection of fruit juice, various breads, toast with butter, jams, and marmalade, fresh fruit, yoghourt, cereal, Scots porridge, eggs, bacon, different teas and freshly brewed coffee.
For those with homesick children, Alice keeps a stock of Skippy peanut butter handy. All breakfast items are carefully created to be deliciously satisfying as well as healthy. Low fat or vegetarian diets are catered for by prior request.
