Facilities

Description

Glenfern Guest House is situated in the delightful village of Balloch, where a warm and friendly welcome awaits you from the owners, Susan and Frank Deans. Their wish - to make your stay in this beautiful spot as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.

Each of our rooms is tastefully decorated and provide excellent comfort and a great place to get a good nights sleep after your day's activities.

All rooms are en suite and boast many other additional facilities including television, radio, hostess tray, a selection of the finest toiletries and hairdryer.

We also offer a full range of breakfasts - from continental through to a full Scottish breakfast.

Our breakfasts are cooked using only fresh produce to ensure a satisfying breakfast to kick start your day.

Glenfern Guest House is quietly located just a short stroll from the centre of Balloch, which offers convenient and frequent bus and rail links to Central Scotland and beyond. The local Tourist Information Centre is also available at Balloch Railway Station.

Within Balloch and the surrounding areas of Gartocharn, Drymen, Helensburgh and Luss there is a large variety of shops, tourist attractions and restaurants to suit every occasion and budget. In addition, there are lots of heritage trails and other points of interest along the Scottish Tourist routes that are provided by the Scottish Tourist Board.

Loch Lomond Shores, with its Information & Exhibition Centre, markets, shopping malls and Sea Life Centre, is just round the corner from the Guest House.

Balloch also offers a fine selection of restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes.

Balloch is ideally placed with quick access to Scotland's excellent road network - motorway links to the attractions of Glasgow and Edinburgh via the Erskine Road Bridge are only a few minutes drive away. The grand castle at Stirling, and the historic town itself, are easily reached - and the glorious route north along the banks of Loch Lomond, and beyond, is moments away from the Guest House.
