The Anchorage Guest House is located in the centre of the historic village of Balloch, which offers convenient and frequent bus and rail links to Central Scotland and beyond. The local tourist information Centre is close by the Anchorage. Within Balloch and the surrounding areas of Gartocharn, Drymen, Helensburgh and Luss there is a large variety of shops, tourist attractions and restaurants to suit every occasion and budget. In addition, there are lots of heritage trails and other points of interest along the Scottish tourist routes that are provided by the Scottish Tourist Board.
Loch Lomond Shores, with its information & exhibition centre, markets, shopping malls and Sea Life Centre, is just a short stroll from the guest house.
Balloch is ideally placed with quick access to Scotland's excellent road network - motorway links to the attractions of Glasgow and Edinburgh via the Erskine Road Bridge are only a few minutes drive away. The grand castle at Stirling, and the historic town itself, are easily reached - and the glorious route north along the banks of Loch Lomond, and beyond, is moments away from the Guest House.
