The Galloway Arms Hotel is situated at Crocketford, midway between Castle Douglas and Dumfries in the heart of South West Scotland.
We are a family-owned hotel with ten quality bedrooms available. All the rooms are en suite and have complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers and digital television. We offer twin, double, triple, single and family rooms. Relax and unwind in the Nine Mile Lounge Bar with one of our premium malt whiskies. Alternatively, you might like to play a game of pool, darts or dominoes with friends or enjoy the sunshine in our fully enclosed beer garden. Our all-day menu is available in the Lounge from 12noon – 9 pm and breakfast for non-residents is available from 9 am – 12noon.
We welcome bookings for all occasions and we can easily accommodate up to 50 people in our Restaurant and alternatively, we can hold small weddings and functions in the lounge bar looking out onto the beer garden.
We have been serving the needs of weary travellers and visitors to the area for more than two hundred years and pride ourselves on delivering service built upon years of tradition and experience.
There is plenty to see and do in the area. Dumfries & Galloway has some of Scotland’s finest golf courses. No less than 8 are within a 30-minute drive of The Galloway Arms Hotel and there are 30 in the whole region. There is loch, river and sea fishing available nearby and there are some fantastic walks available for all ages.
