Situated at the mouth of the Wasdale Valley with far reaching views to the Scafell’s and across the sea to the Isle of Man, 1692 Wasdale is the perfect base from which to explore the quieter, western side of the Lake District. Here you will find mountains, lakes, rivers and a fantastic coastline.

With high quality linens, fluffy Egyptian cotton towels, anti-allergy bedding and complimentary locally sourced Vegan toiletries you are guaranteed a restful stay.
2 of our rooms can be presented as 3ft Twin bedded rooms. 3 of our rooms have a bath in addition to the shower, 3 of our rooms are dog friendly.
We’re a licensed property with a well stocked honesty bar and there is a large (bookable) hot tub outside with fabulous views.
Our delicious breakfasts are cooked freshly to order using locally sourced produce wherever possible including vegan & vegetarian options.
There’s a cake in the afternoon and home-baked biscuits in your room. Lunch packs can be pre-ordered.
Our maximum number of guests is 12 and unless part of a whole house group, we do not take children under the age of 12 years.
Whilst you are with us, as well as taking in the natural beauty of the fells & valleys, you could hire bikes or paddle boards, enlist the services of a walking guide, visit Muncaster Castle, have a ride on the Ravenglass & Eskdale railway, discover our Roman heritage and explore the Georgian town & harbour at Whitehaven.
