Gelligravog Farm B&B

Cwmbran, Monmouthshire, Gwent

Facilities

Description

Gelligravog Farm B&B is set above Upper Cwmbran in Monmouthshire, offering farmhouse style accommodation in a beautiful Welsh setting. Our bed and breakfast is a traditional Welsh Longhouse and is an ideal base for those who want to explore the Gwent area.

Our B&B has been extensively modernised throughout, ensuring guests have all the amenities of a B&B in the city, except with breathtaking country views. We have accommodation to suit all, so whether you are a couple, friends or family we look forward to welcoming you. The rooms are tastefully furnished and include:

TV.
Hot beverage tray with tea/coffee making facilities.
Fridge.
Small library of books.
Wi-Fi internet access.

Guests are also very welcome to relax in the conservatory or on the outside patio decking which leads to the rear garden. Breakfast is served in our large farmhouse kitchen and is freshly prepared each morning.

The house is surrounded by 32 acres of pasture and woodland which has been replanted under a Forestry Commission Woodland Grant Scheme. Gelligravog is also in the coveted Tir Gofal (land care) environmental scheme run by the Countryside Council for Wales and is totally organic. It is decidedly rural yet only a 10 minute drive from the town of Cwmbran with its modern shopping centre and sports facilities. There are numerous golf courses nearby including the Celtic Manor, venue for the 2010 Ryder Cup. To the east you will find the rolling green countryside of Monmouthshire with many castles; the plush valleys of the Usk and the Wye; the Forest of Dean and the delightful towns of Monmouth and Chepstow. Easily accessible to the north are the market town of Abergavenny, the World Heritage site of Blaenavon (with its famous Big Pit Mining Museum), and the rugged Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons.
