Bennachie Lodge is a beautiful building that was converted into a hotel in 1971. Originally a Manse built to accompany Kemnay Church in the late 1700's before, the hotel is located in the Aberdeenshire village of Kemnay which is close to Inverurie, making this the ideal location for a holiday or for business.
The hotel has 8 en suite bedrooms that are a mixture of types. All bedrooms include a flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, mini fridge, hairdryer, toiletries and hospitality tray. In the morning a full Scottish breakfast is served in the hotelís breakfast room, the perfect way to set yourself up for whatever you have planned.
In 2009 the hotel opened its own restaurant where lunch and dinner is served. We also try to serve locally sourced produce and change our menu frequently. Guests can even enjoy a drink or snack in the bar which has a fire. Residents can also take advantage of complimentary parking and are welcome to spend time in the hotel's mature, sheltered garden and grounds.
The hotel is only 13.5 miles away from Aberdeen Airport and 16 miles from the city centre which has a whole host of things to see and do. The area is a haven for walkers, whether it be countryside walking or hillwalking. There are lots of golf courses, places to fish and historic castles close to the hotel. With the stunning backdrop of Bennachie and the Aberdeenshire countryside Bennachie Lodge Hotel offers an ideal platform for exploration of the region. Our part of Aberdeenshire boasts many attractions such as fishing on the River Don and at the Lochter fishing and activity centre in Oldmeldrum, the Deeside Activity Park at Aboyne, golf courses at Kemnay, Inverurie, Kintore, Westhill and Alford, scenic hillwalking and peaceful countryside walks, historic castles such as Castle Fraser, the Alford Transport Museum and of course the famous Scottish whisky trail.
