The Owl At Hawnby offers fabulous accommodation, wonderful food using local produce and roaring fires, great for a relaxing getaway in Yorkshire. We are based in a glorious countryside setting in the North York Moors National Park whilst being close the historic city of York.
Our gorgeous country pub dates from the 19th Century and offers everything you need for a special break in the country. You can choose from 9 beautiful bedrooms, with some boasting spectacular countryside views. We offer delicious dishes to tantalise your taste buds in one of our two restaurants. The menu uses superb ingredients and changes with the seasons, offering lovely dishes such as pan-seared salmon or roast pork loin. We also offer pizza from our wood-fired oven from Monday to Saturday. Enjoy a drink or two from bar, with a brilliant range of hand-pulled ales and wines available. When the sun is shining, enjoy a drink outside whilst savouring the breathtaking views.
Hawnby is a picturesque village that offers an abundance of scenic walking and cycling routes. You can visit Rievaulx Abbey & Cafe to see its magnificent ruins and wander around the beautiful gardens. Helmsley Castle also offers glorious ruins to enjoy. Further attractions to visit include:
