Old Repeater Station

The Old Repeater Station is the half way point of Hadrians Wall and provides bed and breakfast accommodation in an area of outstanding natural beauty in Haydon Bridge, which is close to Hexham, Northumberland.

There are 5 bed and breakfast rooms which are a selection of bunk or en suite twin rooms. In the morning a selection of breakfast options are on offer. We also provide dinner by prior arrangement and the food used is locally sourced. There is a guest sitting room with TV, Radio and DVD player, books, maps and guides, or you may prefer to relax and enjoy the garden which enjoy lovely views over Sewingshield Crags and make the most of the sunset.

The bed and breakfast is almost equidistant between Newcastle-on-Tyne and Carlisle. The area is well suited for walkers and cyclists, the Pennine Way is 2 miles away and Hadrian's Wall Path National Trail is situated right by the B&B. Hadrian's Wall was designated a World Heritage Site in 1987 and is the most important monument built by the Romans in Britain. It is the best known frontier in the entire Roman Empire and stands as a reminder of one of the world's greatest civilisations. Spanning nearly 2,000 years of history, dramatic and wild landscapes, towns and cities, a visit to Hadrian's Wall is a must for anyone living or visiting the North East of England. Forts, museums and local events bring Roman history to life. Local walks have been developed which take you through spectacular countryside.

The B&B is ideally situated for touring the delights of Northumberland and is close to all the major heritage attractions along Hadrian's Wall, Roman Forts and Museums such as Housesteads, Vindolanda and Chesters are only 5 minutesí drive away. The Pennine Way is 2 miles to the west. With a superb setting overlooking the countryside of Northumberland National Park and the surrounding scenery of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
