Filey is a traditional small seaside resort, which remains unspoilt and has miles of fine sandy beaches that are ideal for safe bathing. Many people also come to Filey to watch the birds either at the RSPB Reserve at Bempton Cliffs or Filey Brigg as well as at the Dams Nature Reserve. Filey is also situated at the end of two well-known long-distance footpaths, The Cleveland way and The Wolds way.
