Thorton Watlass Hall dates back almost 1000 years and is nestled in a beautiful part of the North Yorkshire near Ripon. The large historical Georgian house is mentioned in the Doomsday Book and is set within its own parkland in the village of Thornton Watlass. This large family home now offers comfortable and luxurious guest accommodation that is ideally located for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and the many nearby, local attractions.
The Hall has also been featured over the years on different television dramas such as All Creatures Great and Small, Wuthering Heights and Heartbeat
The guest rooms have been sympathetically modernized to ensure that the décor and furnishings are still in keeping with the history of the house, yet still having the modern facilities you would expect in a bed and breakfast or a hotel. Each of the guest rooms has their own en suite bathroom, a TV with Freeview, DVD player, telephone, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Wi-Fi access is available throughout and well behaved dogs are welcome to stay too.
Breakfast is included within the room tariff and consists of a heart and home cooked full English breakfast.
Guests have access to a small honesty bar, here you can help yourself to a tipple at the end of a busy day and retire to the guest lounge or enjoy sitting outside.
Our guest accommodation makes an ideal base for a relaxing break away, dogs are welcome and being so close to the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales means there are plenty of walks nearby that we know both you and your canine friend will love.
